Bus Services
Our transport fleet consists of comfortable, air-conditioned buses to pick up and drop students. Only experienced and qualified drivers are appointed after undergoing a driving test to ensure safety of our students. All students accompanied on their journeys by ‘Bus Nannies’ who look after the students (Primary and Secondary alike) and ensure their safety and behaviour. In the unlikely event of traffic problems, the buses are in contact with the Bus Office, who will inform parents of any major difficulties. Bus routes service most areas in Mumbai and we kindly ask that you discuss the potential use of the bus with the admissions staff.

Catering Services
GICLM is a vegetarian campus and we pride ourselves on serving a balance menu of fresh, healthy food cooked in our own modern kitchens on a daily basis, using the well-known services of Sodexo chefs and staff. There is a ‘Catering group’ consisting of parents, staff and students who advise Sodexo on a regular basis to evaluate menu choices and ideas. Currently, students in EY and Primary have all their meals provided. For Secondary students, they are entitled to a subsidized service which they opt into on a termly basis.
Students are free to bring their own Tiffin for their daily requirements but must adhere to vegetarian options. No food can be ordered from outside vendors or establishments to be delivered to the school. Similarly, students are not allowed to leave campus at any time for the consumption of food outside. GICLM has an established café in the Foyer which also serves healthy food and snacks for all the community during the day and up until 5.00pm for those who attend clubs. This is a cash service only.
ID Passes
Campus security is essential to maintain a safe environment for the community. All students are issued with a personal ID card, which they must wear at all times, and on entry to and exit from, the school without exception.
Parents are issued with an ID Card on an annual basis also. All visitors, and non-ID Card bearing parents, are obliged to enter at the main gate and register with the Security Post to obtain entry and a temporary visitors ID card. These must be returned on exit.
IT Help Desk
GICLM is a technology enhanced environment with WiFi connections to enable that all learning can take place when using technology. At EY and Primary level, students are not allowed to bring in external devices and school IPads are utilized, or students have their Digital and Computing lessons in specialist areas. Secondary students have permission to bring in their own external devices as the curriculum requires.
The IT Helpdesk and services will enable all such devices to enter the schools closed accessible intranet and webmail services. Only a careful list of approved sites for study purposes are able to be accessed by students. Social media is not able to be accessed.
Phones are not allowed to be carried by students in school. However, we appreciate the need for vital communication with family after school and so any students that brings a phone to school must deposit their device on arrival at Reception. They can be collected on departure.
Medical Centre
A full-time qualified nurse is employed by the school under an arrangement with Akshaya - a leading hospital group. She will attend all events inside the school like sporting competitions. She will offer any immediate first aid and help when students may become ill during the day. Any permission to leave school for medical reasons, will be at the advice of the nurse and confirmed by one of the senior leaders. In this instance, parents will be contacted to pick up their child, as they will not be allowed to leave the premises unsupervised. Please note that the nurse is not allowed to prescribe drugs to students. All parents should notify the school immediately, if their child is on medication that requires the nurse to administer.
