Ian Davies joined GICLM 9 years ago and has worked in schools across the UK, Malawi, Poland, Russia and Indonesia for over 30 years. He was chair of the Indonesian IB Schools network, IB country ambassador and is an IBEN approved educator, consultant, workshop leader, school visit team leader and examiner. He has also received several international awards for services to education and was invited to the White House to receive the US Presidential Teachers Award for his outstanding contribution to teaching.

A passionate teacher of History and Theory of Knowledge, his interests revolve around the classroom and pedagogical practices. He is especially interested in learning, teaching, leadership, values education, international-mindedness, cultural education and the International Baccalaureate (IB). Highly sought after for his contributions to schools, workshops and conferences worldwide, Ian believes that education should offer a quality academic and personal environment that harnesses the vitality and idealism of everyone in the community.
